Brass Harp (Heavy Duty)

Hardware

This is the curved metal piece that fits into a saddle found below the socket on most American lamps. There is a flat disk on the top which supports the shade, and has a threaded screw to secure the shade with a finial. The lamp saddle determines whether you need a light-weight or heavy-duty harp. This brass heavy duty harp comes in half-inch increments from 7 to 13 inches, and full-inch increments from 13 to 15 inches. The measurement reflects the full length of the harp, including the screw at the top. Typically a harp no smaller than 7" is required to fit a standard size bulb. The harp size needed depends on the height of the shade.

How To Choose The Right Lampshade

Measure your shade

Measurement Shown As: Top x Bottom x Side (Height)

Example: 6 x 12 x 9

If you are replacing an existing lampshade it may help to measure it first. Start by measuring the widest part (diameter) of the top and bottom of your shade, then finish by measuring the slant/height along the side.
