Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA.
justlampshades.com aims to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA. In January 2026 we completed a comprehensive accessibility remediation project covering color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen reader support, form labeling and error handling, and ARIA attributes across the site. Our work is verified through automated testing tools (pa11y and BrowserStack Accessibility) as well as manual keyboard and screen reader testing.
Known limitations and ongoing remediation
While we aim to make every page conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA, some components are provided by third-party services whose internal accessibility features are outside our control:
- Brevo / SendInBlue email signup forms
- Google reCAPTCHA
- PayPal checkout buttons
- Gorgias chat widget
- Google Merchant shopping widgets
We encourage these providers to maintain accessibility compliance in their products, and we continue to monitor and improve the accessibility of our own site on an ongoing basis.
